Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) is organic chemical and also known as butanone. It is colorless and has an intense sweet odor. We are dealing MEK in large quantity. This chemical is extensively used in paints and other coating activities. This chemical evaporates quickly and can dissolve various substances in itself. Therefore, this chemical is used as solvent in process involving resins, gums, nitrocellulose coatings, cellulose acetate and in vinyl films. Apart from these applications, this chemical is also used in the synthetic manufacturing process of rubber, textiles and paraffin wax.
